Coinciding with International Day of Rural Women, ICBA, in partnership with SELCO Foundation, hosted a webinar titled “Enhancing Millet Value Chain for Sustainable Livelihoods and Climate Resilience”. The event gathered experts from ICBA and SELCO Foundation to discuss millets as a climate-smart crop, supporting farmers, small enterprises, and empowering women.

Key topics included the crucial role of rural women across the millet value chain particularly in processing and value addition, the importance of technology, financing mechanisms, policies and incentives, and capacity development to advance sustainable production practices and strengthening millet value chains to ensure climate resilience and food security.
